A year ago this month, D.C. residents overwhelmingly approved a ballot initiative legalizing the possession of marijuana in the District and allowing residents to grow it at home.
After surviving a congressional review and an effort by Rep. Andy Harris (R-Maryland) to stymie it, the initiative became law in February. What D.C. hasn't yet been able to do — though one legislator has tried — is regulate the retail sale of marijuana.
That hasn't stopped a number of entrepreneurs from entering the world of "cannabusiness," though.
