Veterans Fight for the Right to Free Marijuana – Cannabis News
Some veterans say cannabis has been effective in treating everything from chronic pain to anxiety, depression, anger management and even Multiple Sclerosis.
It was 3 a.m. on a March morning in 2013 when Roger Martin, a 64-year-old retired veteran of the U.S. Army, had an epiphany.
He had spent the preceding months training his new German Shepherd puppy at a facility in Colorado Springs, where he met a slew of young veterans back from Iraq and Afghanistan.
Many were taking 25 to 30 pharmaceutical drugs every day in an attempt to treat conditions including post-traumatic stress disorder, but nothing was helping.
