Traditionally, sound bathers stretch out on some type of cushion or yoga mat, close their eyes and let the gentle reverberations of gongs and crystal bowls wash over them.
Cindy Capobianco was getting high and going to sound baths before many even knew what the Integratron was.
The California-transplant with a long history in fashion and marketing, said it was in the mid-’90s when she first smoked a joint and headed inside the UFO-looking structure in the desert, to be calmed and spiritualized by this type of aurally-enhanced meditation.
“It was totally a transformative experience,” she said. “No one was really thinking about sound baths back then.”
