It took months for her son to qualify through a doctor to receive the OK to buy the CBD vape.
The path to this day has been long. Renee Petro walked into a non-descript strip mall in Clearwater to make one of the biggest purchases of her life: Medical marijuana for her son, 14-year-old Branden.
"We've never tried vaping CBD and I hope that this helps," Petro said.
Branden suffers from febrile infection-related epilepsy syndrome. He is besieged by seizures. Pharmaceutical drugs haven't helped and according to Petro, she believes they might be causing more harm than good.
