A local physicians' group is offering free evaluations and registration assistance to military veterans who are interested in using medicinal marijuana in Maryland.
Canna Care Docs, which has locations in Columbia, Takoma Park and Cockeysville, helps evaluate patients to determine whether medical marijuana would be a viable medication option, and helps patients get certified with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission.
The company has 12 local employees and works with a larger nationwide network operating in five other states that have legalized medical cannabis, including Delaware and Washington, D.C.
