The head prosecutor in Vermont's most populous county is about to make a significant offer to the public, signaling a willingness to erase criminal convictions for certain marijuana crimes which her office handled.
"I actually think we're behind in this discussion," said Chittenden County's State Attorney, Sarah George.
George said Thursday that she is still ironing out a plan to wipe away convictions on low-level marijuana crimes — even from many years ago — now that Vermont law is changing its attitudes toward pot.
