FAIRBANKS — Alaska is on track to be the first state in the nation to allow for the consumption of marijuana in retail stores in which it is purchased.
Fairbanks area local government are of a mixed view of the decision, with some saying the move is within the scope of the initiative that legalized the drug and others disagreeing.

The control board is expected to begin issuing business licenses in May.
