Three Democratic House Committee Chairs revealed their proposal to make recreational marijuana legal across the state in Hartford on Thursday.
Democrats in the Connecticut House have predicted annual revenue would be in the $100 million range.
The lawmakers stress the proposal is just a starting point. There will be a Cannabis Control Commission set up and will be overseen by the Department of Consumer Protection.
Taxes will be somewhere around the 20 percent range, when state and local fees are added up together.
