Maine physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants will be able to recommend medical marijuana for any patient they think would benefit under a new law.
Lawmakers overrode the governor's veto Monday with near-unanimous support.
The law eliminates the list of medical conditions that an individual would currently need to prove to receive medical marijuana.
The law allows qualifying patients and unregistered caregivers to possess eight pounds of medical marijuana, up from 2.5 ounces.
