Oklahoma voters will get to decide on June 26 whether to legalize medical marijuana.

Gov. Mary Fallin’s announcement Thursday came on the same day U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions revoked an Obama-era policy that was deferential to states’ permissive marijuana laws.

Oklahoma’s vote will come during the primary election. Fallin’s other option would have been to set it during the November general election.
