Medical marijuana: Georgia State Representative, wife say veterans would benefit from legalization - Cannabis News

MACON, Ga. -- State leaders and community members in Georgia are fighting for the legalization of medical cannabis oil to help veterans with post traumatic stress disorder and chronic pain.

The Georgia College State of the State poll released recently showed that 77 percent of Georgians support medical marijuana legalization.

State representative Allen Peake said, "We ought to be able to step forward and say, hey, you fought for our country, now we're going to fight for you."

Peake has advocated for medical cannabis for years, and he's not the only person who believes veterans deserve it.
