Florida Governor: ‘I Absolutely Will Sign’ Medical Marijuana Bill - Cannabis News
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida Gov. Rick Scott said he “absolutely” intends to sign the medical marijuana bill passed Friday by the state Legislature.
After the original legislation fell apart on the final day of the regular session last month, the chambers approved the bill during the final day of the special session.
The House passed it 103-9 before the Senate voted 29-6. The amendment, which was passed by 71 percent of voters in November, states that laws must be in place by July 3 and enacted by October. Scott should be able to sign the bill ahead of the first deadline.
