South Carolina: Medical marijuana bill discussed in state committee – Cannabis News
COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The issue of legalizing marijuana for medical use was discussed at the South Carolina State House Thursday.
People from both sides packed a Senate Medical Affairs Subcommittee meeting to discuss a bill proposed by Senator Tom Davis that would allow for the use of medical marijuana for certain patients.
To support his argument, Davis says 29 other states have authorized the medical use of marijuana. Several of the people attending the meeting were families who say marijuana is needed to treat epilepsy.
