HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The Pennsylvania House of Representatives is scheduled to take up a bill to legalize medical marijuana. The bill has been stalled in the House since it overwhelmingly passed the Senate last May.
Senate Bill 3 would allow doctors to prescribe medical marijuana for more than a dozen different medical conditions.
Some of those diseases include cancer, epilepsy and seizures, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, post-traumatic stress disorder, HIV and AIDS, chronic pain, diabetes, and glaucoma.
Patients with a prescription could get medical marijuana in oils, pills, and ointments.
